Meet Alan Carmack

Prior to joining Enid Public Transit as the transit safety instructor, Alan Carmack wasn’t aware of just how important public transportation was to his community. “I had no idea how many people rode the bus on a daily basis,” Alan says. “A lot of people don’t know there is a transit until they need it.” Alan says the residents who use the transit system vary from those with disabilities who can’t drive to elderly to students attending one of the three colleges in Enid. “Rural transit picks people up at their door and drops them off where they need to go,” he says.
