Meet Carol Pixely

A retired teacher, Carol Pixley has been blind since birth. She relies upon the City of Enid Transit to get her safely to her destinations. “I love the freedom to schedule a ride,” Carol says. “I really enjoy the opportunity to use the transit because it gives me access to things in the community that I would otherwise either not be able to participate in or have to prevail on someone else to get me there.” Carol says there are a lot of people who can’t drive for a variety of reasons. “Since so much of Oklahoma is rural, it isn’t really cost effective to use private transportation,” Carol says.
