Meet Rep. Avery Frix (R-Muskogee)

As chair of the Oklahoma House of Representatives’ Transportation Committee, Rep. Avery Frix (R-Muskogee) understands the important role transit plays for Oklahomans and the state’s economy. “We know that public transit provides a vital service, especially in rural areas, getting people from point A to point B,” Chairman Frix says. “We know that for every dollar that Oklahoma invests in public transit, we get a return on that investment.” A recent study conducted by Oklahoma State University’s Spears College of Business shows that transit in Oklahoma provides $815 million in economic impact each year. “The future of transit is very bright,” Frix says.
