Meet Marcus Manning

Marcus Manning, a retired laborer, lives in Porum, about 30 miles from any grocery stores and the dialysis center he goes to three times a week. Without a vehicle, Marcus relies upon Muskogee County Transit to get him where he needs to go. “I used to have a car but it wasn’t very reliable so I got rid of it and now use Muskogee Transit for about all of my transit needs,” Marcus says. Since 2016, Marcus has gotten to his dialysis treatments solely by using the transit system. “If I didn’t have this service to take me there and back, I’d be in real trouble,” he says.
