Meet Cendie Newman

A love for the people she serves is what has kept Cendie Newman with Red River Transportation for more than 30 years. “There’s a saying around here that if you need a lift and a smile, call Cendie,” she says. “I am here for the people we transport and my day is made when I can make them laugh and smile.” Cendie says the transit system serves an important role in western and central Oklahoma. “Most of our transportation is long distance to Oklahoma City for doctor appointments but we also take people to the grocery store, school, to visit family -- basically anywhere they need to go.”
