Meet Mayor Steven Gentling

As the mayor of Guthrie, Steven Gentling understand the importance of public transit not only for citizens but also for the tourists that flock to the historic community.  He describes public transit as being a part of the fabric of any community. “It’s not just for people who don’t have cars but also for people who, because of some disabilities, can’t drive,” Mayor Gentling says. “Public transit has filled those needs.” He says recent budget cuts at First Capital Trolley has negatively impacted the community. “The not as vibrant schedule, it impacts us,” Mayor Gentling says.
