Meet Terri Keith
With no vehicle, Terri Keith uses EMBARK to get from her home in southwest Oklahoma City to her long-time job at a downtown dry cleaners. “I take the bus for just about everything,” Terri says, adding that she uses transit for shopping, going out to eat, and visiting her family as well. Getting on a wrong bus a few years ago opened up Terri’s use of EMBARK. “I ended up on the east side of town, where I hadn’t been in over 20 years and I thought that was kind of fun,” Terri says. “When I have free time, I go to the terminal and take a bus to someplace I haven’t been in a while.” She also appreciates the expansion to longer hours and Sunday service. “The bus has been a lifesaver for me,” she says. “What I like most is I don’t have to deal with traffic, I can read a book or just sit there in my own space.”
