Meet Alex Spencer
Public transit provides Alex Spencer the chance to pursue opportunities he would otherwise not have. “I am on the autistic spectrum and I have partial complex seizures which prevents me from getting a license,” Alex explains. He uses COTS to get to Rose State College where he is pursuing a degree. His mother, a teacher in Midwest City, is helping make sure Alex can attend college although she’s been battling breast cancer. “Having the opportunity to go to college means a lot to me,” Alex says. “Part of the reason I can continue to go to Rose State and my current psychologist is that we rely on this transportation. That’s why I’m extremely grateful for the transit.
